Scholastic had the challenge of four discrete audiences – Parents, Teachers, Kids, and Administration. They needed a site that could handle different content types (lesson plans for Teachers, games for Kids, etc.) while still feeling like part of the same modern brand. I lead the Kids redesign, also helping design various pages for the Parents and Teachers sections. I'd never designed for children before, and leveraged the style in what was hopefully a simpler, more engaging way. The Kids section was designed tablet first, and also to have much more in-page interactivity and game-like properties.
